Michelle is an 18-year veteran in the industry who works fluently in both film and TV production design and art direction.
As a Production Designer, her latest projects include Jay Baruchel's feature film 'Random Acts of Violence' and the television series 'Conviction' for ABC/Mark Gordon Co.
As an Art Director, her work has been seen in several award-winning films including Lenny Abrahamson's Oscar nominated and Canadian Screen Award winning film 'Room' starring Brie Larson, as well as Kim Nguyen’s 'Two Lovers and a Bear' starring Tatiana Maslany and Dane DeHaan. Her most recent feature film Art Direction credits include the Official TIFF 2018 selection, 'The Hummingbird Project' by Kim Nguyen and Jay Baruchel’s 'Goon: Last of the Enforcers'. Her television Art Director credits include 'The Romanoffs', 'Condor' and 'Man Seeking Woman',
Michelle's career began on the floor as a key greens man, and quickly she expanded her roles to include construction co ordinator, set decorator, buyer, and FX technician. With this versatility, she brings a wealth of knowledge to a project as an art director or production designer. Michelle is very hands on, and subsequently, projects benefit from her demanding high production value regardless of budget.
Michelle owns Setscapes, a design build company that primarily services the film and commercial industry. It also provides location restoration services for construction and landscape repairs, as well as FX cleanups.
Michelle is a member of both the DGC and Nabet 700.
